A Better Chew Started with a Better Idea.
For decades, Scott Pet has been creating products with one thing in mind: helping pets live happy, healthy lives. And because we’re pet people, too, we’ve always believed the products we bring home to our own dogs should be products we feel good about giving them.
Back in 2006, we saw an opportunity to rethink one of the most familiar products in the pet aisle: the traditional rawhide chew. They served a purpose – satisfying a dog’s instinct to chew while giving them something that keeps them content, engaged and occupied – but ingesting beef rawhide often came with a cost to dogs’ health. We believed there had to be a better way to give our pups that experience.
So, we got to work.
That idea became Pork Chomps: a completely new kind of dog chew made with pork skin instead of traditional beef rawhide. What started as an innovative idea from a company of pet lovers grew into a brand trusted by dog families across the country.
Nearly two decades later, we’re still doing what we set out to do: creating chews dogs love that keep them happily occupied, one chomp at a time.
Built on a better idea.
We changed the chew. Not the reason dogs love it.
Pork Chomps was created to challenge what a dog chew could be. Since then, we’ve continued to grow the brand with new shapes, sizes and flavors for dogs of all kinds - but our approach hasn’t changed. We’re still dog parents making products for other dog parents, with the same curiosity and care that inspired the very first Pork Chomps.
Because at the end of the day, dogs don’t care about innovation. They just know when they’ve found something they love.
Happily Occupied
My dogs have sensitive stomachs and they love these and they do not give them any kind of problems with their bellies. This is a staple in our house.
My dogs love them! They are also long-lasting, so they're perfect to toss in a kennel if you have to keep your dog kenneled during the day and need something to keep them busy.
I wanted a longer lasting non-rawhide too for my dogs. They've tried dreambones but they chew right through them in minutes. This takes my heavy to work 10 to 15 minutes and my moderate chewer almost 30. I feel much better about them having an easily digestible bone since I limit their rawhide intake to once a week at most.
